Weekend at Victor Harbor

Khin and I went to visit my mum at Victor Harbor this weekend. We took her out for dinner as part of a delayed birthday present.

We also went to Petrel Cove, a nearby beach. A terrible place for swimming (due to the rip currents), but the beach and surrounding cliffs are a beautiful sight. Khin says that it’s like being in Scotland – although neither of us have been, it really does look like the rocky cliff-lines of Scotland we see on movies and from photos.

It was a beautiful weekend for spending time outside before winter sets in, and there were quite a few people out in the area. Just near the spot in the photograph above, a couple of guys climbed to a nice sitting spot above some rock pools and ate a takeaway lunch there. Wish I’d thought of it, maybe next time!
